It would be good if fish feed companies sold one-serving packs of food. Just the other day I got a new full container of feed to find my goldfish wouldn't even sniff it! Picky fish. Thud.gif

that happened to me once
when i bought soem expensive sinking food
he showed me what a great product it was
when he feed it to some of the goldies in his store
but when i took it home, none of my fish
even went near the stuff ignore.gif
so i had to return it for my normal floating pellets biggrin.gif

uggh, my pet shop wouldn't let me return it! 'All sales are final'
slipperylittlesucker
how about a swap for a cheaper product?
surely sad.gif

I agree, Ive had that happen to me before too. Now when I try a new type of food I only buy the smallest amount. The problem is with frozen food, though, since all the packs are about the same size. Ive thankfully found very few foods my fish would not eat. One, in case anyone is keeping track, is Bioblend Bottom Feeder Wafers. I thought it would be like the Hikari wafers but none of my fish really like it. You know thats saying somehting when goldfish wont eat it! tongue.gif

no wonder they don't allow you to swap it tongue.gif
but the fish shop i go
they are quiet nice and will allow you to swap food
Bonkers
maybe some of the members will swap with you (?) I know all the food seems to come in too large packages anyway. I didn't buy the Progold cause it comes in such a large package most of it would go to waste...I bought the Hikari sinking pellets instead. As of right now, I want to start out small with just one fish so that there are less problems, and then move to two.

If you are switching from a floating food to a sinking food, then I would offer it to your goldies a couple more times (just be sure to remove it if they don't eat it)

When I changed from Wardley floating pellets to Pro-gold sinking pellets, it took my goldfish a few feedings to figure out that they had to get the food off of the bottom.
