My eggs just hatched. How long do I need to feed them baby fish food before I can switch to flakes? unsure.gif

i started after a few months
but it depends on their size

I fed cooked egg yolks (just a tiny bit) for about 3 weeks, then switched to crumbled up flakes. My fish didn't seem to be growing much at all. Then I started feeding baby brine shrimp, and the growth in my fry has been really, really quick. Growing the brine shrimp is really easy (I do it in a pint glass) and well worth the trouble.

You shouldn't feed them at all until they have consumed their yolk sacs. You cna tell when this is because they start free swimming instead of hanging on to the sides.
