Hi,

I just got back from my lfs and I got some new tropical fishes. I got 2 of these corys and the shop were calling them Black Stripe Catfish. I think it may be Corydoras schwartzi but I am not sure.

What do ya reckon?
Black oranda

What??!!

They are corys, which are very different to plecs! I know they are corydoras, I'm just not sure which one.

I hope you don't have any corys, thinking they are plecs!! lol.GIF

Cheers Luke,

I am 95% sure now, which is about as sure as you can be!! The one in the background of the pic could be several different ones!!

LOL, they are in a tropical tank and are schwartzi corydoras. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I only have one left as the one not pictured above died quickly after I got them. He had never looked right. sad.gif

What's a "siamese catfish sucker"? I have just ordered 4 siamese flying foxes, but they are nothing like corys. They are longer and thin with a stripped body. They suck onto the glass and eat algae. Is yours like this - http://www.fishaholics.org/gallery/crossoc...siamensis.shtml ?
JR72
yeah thats it, but have dots also along its body, over here in Aus they call the siamese catfish suckers, they suck the glass and clean the gravel BIG time. i have one that is 3" and plays with my GF, every tank should have one,

goodluck with yours
