hi got some goldfish for christmas everything was fine, until today when i got in one of me fish(gimli) has got black lips and one of his cheeks has gone black also his fins have got a black outline. My other fish(aragorn) looks a lot better but he has also got black outline in his tail.

any help would be appreciated

how high is your Ammonia ? it sounda like he has some
Ammonia burns to treat it just change to water i would do 80% water change and then add some aquarium salt to the tank this will help get the slime coat back. im not positive thats wut it is because i dont know if the burns would affect the fins or not.

You need to test your water for ammonia, nitrite and nitrate a.s.ap. i suspect your tank is still cycling (read up on this form the menus on the left) and during this itme i's imprtant to keep a check on your water qulaity. It is often necessary to perform daily 30% water changes while the ammonia and nitrite is spiking.
