After my tank has wiped out by bacteria infection and I want to start over again to repupulate the cardinal tetras.

What should I use to sterilize the tank meaning need to wash all the gravels/filter media to start all over?

I started salt treatment at dosage of 0.35% and it still couldn't save all the fish. Now I only have two fish left in the tank. What should I do? continue the salt treatment for how long?

Hopefullly they are still alive when I go home today

Whoa, I didn't know that tropicals could tolerate that level of salt (but I don't know much at all about tropicals). I hope things turn out okay for your fish.

Thanks for the link Acupunk. It seems the tropical fish tolerate salt better than goldies. I remember my goldies were having problem breathing when the salinity level was at 0.30%.

But how would I know the fish are dying from the salinity or from the bacteria infection. It's hard to tell.
