does anyone know anything about blood parrot fish? my cousin just bought one for her 29g tank and he's pretty big according to her. i dont know anything about them and had never heard of one before...what are their tank requirements and food needs?

They are very hardy tropical fish. Chinese people love them and they put alot of these fish in their a tank because Chinese believe the fish will bring them good luck/prosperity. They have very little demand on water quality, of course clean water is always appreciated for any fish. You can keep the PH at 7.0 or alittle acid about 6.5 and maintain temp of 75-80F, but not go over 80F.

These fish are very aggressive and make sure you keep them within their own kind or other aggressive/predator fish such as arowana fish.
