So I'm selling my 29 gallon tank that my goldies were in until last week...and I was totally ok with this.
Yesterday my soon to be brother in law (who moved into my old place to live with my sis/his fiance) called me to say he wants it. He has a 15 gallon trop tank right now which looks fantastic. I know he's going to make the 29 gallon look fantastic when he transfers his fish in there. And now I can't help but think....I wish I could set up a 29 gallon trop tank tongue.gif
That's it, I'm definatly addicted to fish keeping now, when I want to hoard my tanks from my family!!!

That is aperfectly normal reaction. I hoard tanks, too. I find myself driving past garage sales and craning my neck to look for tanks. I do not NEED more tanks. I have 3 sitting empty at this time. But I always WANT more...... and never can pass one up.

Perhaps, in the future, you can have him help you set up one - and have him help you make it "look fantastic". I have a friend that does just that - he will do "interior decorating" for other's tanks. He loves it, and they love it. It is a mutually satisfying arrangement. He laughs that my tanks are impossible - I run barebottom as a true minimalist..... rolleyes.gif

I may get his input tonight actually smile.gif
I'm moving my tropical tank to my new place tonight (it's a measley 20 gallon, hahaha) and I plan on redecorating and removing the algae in the process. I'm sure he'll have some good suggestions smile.gif

Is there any way you can get us a pic of his fantabulous tank? I love seeing tanks with amazing setups and wishing I could do it myself. tongue.gif

oh i hear ya! i have a oceanic 58 gal that is empty. i have to keep moving it around the apt. for now its next to my desk hiding behind an open door. i have had it for like 4 months and a friend keeps wanting to take it so she can use it. ITS MINE! MINE! i change the subject as fast as i can when she brings it up. i dont share well with others, well fish stuff at least. theres also a empty 10 gal, never been used sitting there too. and i still check craigslist daily (like 5 times a day actually), and do the same at garage sales. you want how much? does it hold water? what was in it before? i must have all the tanks i can find (for the price), dont know why, or where they are gonna sit. but i must have them. so you are not alone by any means.....

I'll try. The truth is, it's nothing amazing...but sitting next to my algae infested, probably over planted tank, it looks great wink.gif

I'll try and get some pics though. I want to do before and afters of my tropical tank for sure...I have big plans, hehehe.
