I cooked some carrots for my daughter with her lunch today. They were steamed, no salt or oils. Is this ok to feed to my fish? I like to give them some variety and they seem to like it.

My goldfish spits it out, but yeah they are safe for goldies to eat.

Our gf aren't really a fan of carrots either...

i put steamed purreed carrots into my gel food, my fish really likes it They won't touch whole carrots though LOL, but give it a try anywho!

My fish don't like carrots, plus it is hard to smush them up small enough so they don't spit it out.



That's neat! Making gel food sounds kind of fun, mixing all sorts of goodies for the fish together. I've never tried making it....

sorry this is off topic , but I LOVE making gel food LOL ! Just stuff all the things down into a blender and let it rip! Then add gelatine and water to it, very simple but sooo fun LOL! I always look forward to it!
