Full Version: Black Moor And Plants?
Forum > The Goldfish Topics > Goldfish Tanks > Goldfish plants, & how to set up a planted tank
cathyg
I have a black moor and originally set up my tank with plastic plants --- I figured being a newbie, best thing would be for me to focus on the fish for now. But I quickly learned that due to their poor eye sight you really shouldn't have anything with sharp edges, so i took it all out.

Now I am thinking Bert might be bored - crazy?
Should I think about getting some silk plants? Would that be okay for him?

Thanks for your help. This site has been invaluable to me as I get underway with my first fish!

silk plants are definitely better than plastic plants. i have a terra cotta pot in my telescope's tank so he has something to swim in and out of too.

Plastic plants are simply a hazard for any goldfish, telescopes in particular. I recommend ONLY silk plants for all your goldies. You can buy them online for cheap.

I prefer silk plants for that very reason. Too many split tail fins. sad.gif
