Allrighty! I traded in my 1 gal tank for a 10 gallon tank with filter and heater for my 4 glo lite tetras, thanks to several excellent suggestions by you guys. I got a couple live plants, some wood and couple artificial plants in there.
Now, looking at this new tank, it seems too huge and lonely for only 4 tetras. Any recommendations for what other fish i can put in there? I like tetras...maybe some other variety of them?
Thanks all!!

Neon tetras are really pretty to look at.
Wow, you could really go with any type of tetra as long as it is one of the smaller varieties. Guppies are really nice too!

I agree, another type of tetra would be nice. I have 3 varieties in my tank now and sometimes they all form little schools, it's very cool.
You could also get a dwarf gourami. They are really pretty and fun to watch. I haven't had the best of luck with them, but I think it's something to do with my water because I've heard others say how hearty they are.

I would suggest going with any small tetra, there are many beautiful varieties of them. I am buying my daughter a 10g and putting a mixture of several different tetra colorings.

I would get more glo-lites because they feel more comfortable in bigger schools.

glo lites and neons are very similar i think they would do ok together, i have 3 glo lites and a pistilla and they swim together. My 3 black skirts dont school as much anymore

I would go with more Glo-Lites. It is a much more brilliant spectacle when you have a large school of one type of tetra than it is to have one or several schools of different tetras.
