i found the coolest little glass pots! they are at k-mart in the martha stewart candle holder section. they are 3 inches tall, shaped like a flowerpot and made of glass. they are pretty thick and only a buck fifty! i bought a new amazon sword today. i put it in the "pot" and filled the void with the same color gravel as the tank. it looks really good. kind of like the gravel is growing up around the roots and cradling the plant!

i just thought that this little finding deserved to be passed on.............peace

I got some of these from a local craft store for some of my tanks. They had clear and also had frosted. I got the clear at first, but they blended in *too* well for my liking, so I went back and got the frosted ones so they were more noticable. I love sea glass and that's what the frosted ones reminded me of, so to me they're perfect.

ooooh, that sounds pretty cool! happydance.gif i live 1 block from the atlantic ocean, so i see those little peices of "frosted" glass all the time. actually, now that you mentioned it, peices of frosted glass strewn here and there among the gravel (tiny, polished river rock) would look really good! browns, greens and whites all scattered about! thanx for the idea! tongue.gif im gonna start collecting them when im walking my roommates dog. or maybe ill get a rock tumbler to polish/frost any color glass or rock i want.
