I saw a picture of watermama's tank and it had water lillies in it with angelfish. I was wondering can you put water lillies in with goldfish? If you can, are you supposed to keep the tank lid off or on?

Lilies should be okay but theres a good chance your goldies will eat them. Since they are a floating plant they would need the lid to be off or the water level to be lowered. I dont recommend uncovered tanks with any kind of fish but especially goldies as they have been known to jump.

Thanks for the information. I guess all I can do is try a few lillies and see if it works out or not. (I'll keep the lid on of course!)
