My gold mystery snail is floating in the tank, he just started floating today... he looks normal beyond the floating, why is he floating? my other black mystery snail is stuck to the side of the glass and isn't floating, just the one... why?

My old apple snail, Fu, used to do that. I would always run to the tank to see if he was okay; find he was still alive and let him be. I imagine it's not a problem. But I hope someone with a bit more info will come around to let you know for sure. Good luck with your snail!

Snails will float around the tank, sometimes for a couple of days at a time. They are just resting mostly. Sometimes lifting them out of the water and holding them upside down for a moment might allow some air to escape from their shells so they will sink again. It is part of normal behaviour, especially in the colder seasons or if the snail has had a large meal.

That's good. The main reason they cruise around is to find food or find a mate. If they don't need either they like to sleep.
