I recently got a couple feeders from wally world.
I also got a bowl for them there.....its pretty small.
I would like to get a bigger tank for them but they are really expensive and I don't have a whole lotta loot.
Where would the best\cheapest place to buy a tank?

the tank size that you would need depends on how many of the feeder fish you got.
since most feeder fish are commons/comets, it is suggested to plan ahead for at least 20 US gallons per fish.

if you are not picky about whether or not you get a brand new tank,
you might try the local ads, craigslist, or yard sales...
otherwise, walmart is actually probably the cheapest place to buy tanks.
they will come in tank setups which aren't exactly put together for goldfish,
but you can always upgrade the equipment. smile.gif

if an aquarium is too expensive and not within budget,
rubbermaid tubs can be used as makeshift tanks.
they are efficient and much cheaper than buying a large tank.
you would have to buy the necessary filters though in this case.

how many fish do you happen to have? smile.gif

If you can't afford a tank you can use a rubber-made tub with a filter attached to it smile.gif

Some of the smaller "mom and pop" shops in my area will also sell fish tanks with little or no profit - you pay for what you want and they order it - for wholesale price. This is done because they usually know that you will be spending money on filters, equipment, fish, food, etc. It is always worth asking - perhaps they will deal.

I have found LOTS of tanks in the past in garage sales or the classifieds.

Rubbermaid tubs are, as mentioned above, one of the greatest things for fish. They allow you to have all the benefits of a larger tank, yet little or none of the expense. Wrapping bungee cords around the top of a cheaper brand of rubber tub will help add support. When and if you then get a tank, you can always use the tub for storing all the assorted fish equipment that we seem to collect.
