Nice work!

I am worried that she might get hot? I don't know what the weather's like in your neck of the woods, but around here outdoor fish need some serious shade. Would it work to cover a corner of your bin with a piece of wood or something? With the transparent sides, I am worried that the plants won't provide enough cover come July. I suppose this also depends on what kind of exposure your location has -- I mean if it is on the northeast corner or your house you will have less to worry about than if it is on the south or west side.

thanks biggrin.gif

>>i'm not really too concerned with the heat issue.

1. the hottest it gets around these parts is like......80 (and that's on a REALLY hot day).
2. the bin is placed on the 'shady' side of my yard- it's never in direct sunlight because of the massive 'overhang' of the roof of the house.

but i guess i'll just have to see what happens.
the piece of plywood sounds like a good idea smile.gif

Nice pond. smile.gif I like how it's tucked back in the plants there. Chutney should be one happy little fish!

I like it!! Those Rubbermaids work really well as little ponds, and I like how yours is set back with the rocks and plants.

I like that you used the wire over the top. I debated over using that or the bird netting. Let me know how you end up liking it!
Valerie
Nice pond! I'm sure your Oranda will love it!

Wow
Thats a great ideal!!
But I dont know if its right for me cause we have a problem with racoons, bear and mean birds also some distructive squierrls, since we live right next to a Nature Center.
Well I can always try. That chicken wire looks like a great ideal.

I am a little worried about your filter: Is it rated for outside use? Is the motor encased so that when it rains, it won't short out?? how about the cord? I would hate to see you get shocked or something.

I really like this!!!!
I have never even thought about that.
Looks real nice too!!
