So my 3 gallon (Dragon's tank) has been leaking at the top for quite awhile now and i havent suceeded trying to seal it so when i came home from school she had a brand new tank for me! Its one of those 2.65 gallon goldfish starter kits, a bit smaller but not much difference, I already moved him in lol. She also got me and my brother aquarium stands, for his 10 gallon and for my 10 and 5 gallon cause my desk was starting to crack so I moved those on there too...i feel like im constantly moving fish tanks around lol!! This tank came with a little mini filter..Dragon seems to like swimming with the current lol, he'll just go in it over and over again, i had to put it on lowest setting though cuz otherwise he could barely stay upright lol.

It's always good to have someone who supports your hobby. My bf told me when we get our first house, he'll try and build me a 'fish room'....don't know if that's to be nice or keep them hidden away

Chrissy...either way you might get a fish room(hopefully)...if it is so he can keep them hidden away...at least you have a fish room...gotta take ur wins where u can get them, even if he is trying to cut it like a loss.

I think the fish room is more to be nice so I can have a nice place for them...

i'll post pics later i had to turn off dragon's filter though cuz it got too strong for him afetr awhile, im gonna see if i can use somethng to break the current later

Shamu congrats on the new tank! I used to use one of those for a betta....worked really well. Is the filter an Elite mini? You should be able to turn the dial down to low. See if that helps. Mine didn't seem to mind the slow current. Do you have the filter outflow at the waters' surface, or below it? I also took the short airline off of mine; all it did was pull air into the filter and create a stronger current, and the filter was harder to prime that way. Hope this wasn't too confusing!

yeah but even on the lowest setting it got too strong for him after awhile, it actually didnt change much when i turned it down. I have the filter right at the bottom and put an ornament in front of it so now its all good

Well look at this way she at least lets you have one and keep fish and buys you the tank. Some parents will not even allow that.You are blessed
