Tried this yesterday and my ranchu loves it. The rice was cooked and cooled underwater. Then I just drop a few... Anyone tried this before? Does it have a good/ bad nutrition?

There are some who do feed rice regularly. Some even claim that it helps prevent or relieve constipation and some floating problems. I have had the opposite effect - rice seems to "Stop up" my fish to a degree.

I do feed rice occasionally - usually steamed brown rice that is throughly softened. When I feed it I do so EXCEEDINGLUY sparingly. The fish love it. Their digestions do not seem to love it as well. It is a great treat, though.

I agree ...kind of off fish topic but my dad as a dog breeder for 28 years would give rice to dogs that had loose bowels..so I would assume it would do the same to fish
