Ok last week I got a new betta!! he was the healthiest one in the lot. he loved his new tank at first! but now he seems REALLY tired! he only moves to eat. He seems really healthy but he wont move!! when I bought him he would flare at the sight of anything! now he doesnt flare at all. Im really worried. I havnt taken care of betta in a long time. o and yesterday i cleaned his tank (it got dirty quick!) I put him in a jar and he was lively like he was when I bought him, but when I put him back in his tank he went back to sleep! he is still alive so please help me keep him that way!!

Is there a filter in his new tank? It could be that the current is bothering him.
As for the flaring, I don't think it's a bad thing that he doesn't flare as much, I'd take that to be a sign of him feeling more secure in his environment

That's good news, but you don't want to always have to turn the filter off. What kind of filter is it? If you can adjust the flow, turn it down. If it's a waterfall type, you can put a piece of filter sponge at the outlet to dampen the impact it has on the surface of the water, or maybe put a silk plant or something in front of the outflow to break the current up.
