So i have a cycling 30 gallon tank and idid some fish reasearch and decided dwarf puffers would be a nice fish to keep there. I know that they are a little aggresive but if one is causing trouble i can get a tank divider. I would like to know if anyone here has any tips on keeping them or any experiance with them.

Plant the tank heavily, and I mean HEAVILY.
No other fish should be kept with puffers either. They just become play things or food.
Have a steady supply of pond snails on hand.
Also place small pieces of cuttle bone in the tank. They enjoy chewing on it.

In regards to snails, you might want to find a petstore near you that would agree to give you a handful of pest snails. You'll need a separate tank to cultivate them in, but at least you'll have ample supply whenever you need them.

I won't have a hard time finding pest snails, My friend is in constant warfare with them! I have read online that they are agresive. Plants are easy.....

Exactly what Sushi said! I kept mine for years just like that, in a heavily planted 30 gallon. I had a separate 10 gallon I cultured the snails in and I would drop them in every couple nights or so.
I really miss having my puffs and think they will be the next thing I get when I set up a new tank. Just make sure we are talking about the Carinotetraodon travancoricus, as all the others do need some saltwater and get much larger.
