I just changed 10 gallons of water from a 75 gallon tank and replaced it with new conditioned water. After a few minutes the water got really cloudy. What caused the water to get so clouded in such a short period of time?

Why did you take such a little amount of water out? It's hardly enough to be considered a water change..

and how did you put it back in?

I know sometimes after dumping water in and not thoroughly cleaning my tank well enough will stir up hidden messes in the gravel... ie poo and food.
