Cloudy water can indicate many things. Have you checked your water prams? Do you overfeed?

If you suspect over feeding you should do a large water change right away..Atleast 50% Can you test your water and give me your results?

There's a lot more to water than pH. We'll also need test results for ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. KH and GH would be good as well. Many pet stores may be willing to run the water tests for you, but for the future you'll need to run the tests for yourself.

Also, are you using a pH test where 7.4 is the end of the scale? (Many of them are) If so, it may really be lower or higher than 7.4 and you'll need both a 'low range' and a 'high range' test.
