Hi Jules

Sorry about your continuing problems with your betta Strawberry.
Have you tried green water it helps wonders with swim bladder on goldies?

I find euthanasia is very sad and i hope that Strawberry will be better off in the great big pond in the sky.

I am sorry Shamu. I know how you feel .I just lost Cloud to dropsy. It is hard. I am so sorry you are losing him. It makes it harder when you have to euthanize them . I feel your hurt

Hugs to you. It's an awful thing to have to do, but sometimes it is kinder. I had to euthanize a little danio this week. He had some sort of growth or tumor and I could tell he was suffering. It was heartbreaking for me to put him in a separate container and then add the clove oil. But I have to say he went very peacefully. It still made me cry but he looked like he just peacefully slipped into fishy heaven.

00001649.gif Aw hun I know that was a hard decision to make. I have had to do it a few times myself. No matter how hard it is, just remember that they are at peace now and feeling no pain. You did the right thing. You saved him from suffering further. Be strong Shamu! You have lots of shoulders here to lean on whenever you need to. k055.gif

I'm so sorry, shamu. Its always such a hard decision to make. I had to euthanize my little Platie, Pixie, a few months ago and it makes you feel so badly.

You know you made the kindest decision for your fish. Prolonging his misery would have been selfish, and you did the right thing.

I hope you feel better soon, hon. k055.gif

If it's any consolation, I've never seen a betta recover from that sort of problem. I think you saved him from suffereing
