Full Version: The Big Move Is Coming!

Okay everyone, the day I have been waiting for is almost here!

On Friday the weather will finally be warm enough for me to move three of my fish outside into rubbermaid ponds. My two shubunkins Da Vinci and Ester will be moving into a 50 gallon rubbermaid, while my new comet will be moving into a 20 gallon rubbermaid. My two shubunkins are still small, so I am contemplating getting a 60 gallon rubbermaid instead and housing them all together.

This is going to be their temporary home until the 300 gallon pond is finished.

In all honesty I'm just completely excited to see that they'll be able to go outside soon. Calcifer has been kept with mean fancies all his life (no seriously, they beat him up), so I think it will be a great experience for him.

So many things to do to prepare the pond(s) and so little time!

Oh, I do have one question...

Should I switch the three over to an "outside/pond" diet once they are outside? I've heard a few people recomending it, but I wasn't sure whether or not it would be necessary.

I reccomend switching to a pond diet, only if they are going to stay outside
