So since I have the goldfish in a other tank..I have my 45 gallon hex empty. I have reasealed it
So I was thinking of getting
6 cory catfish
and some mollies(ballon)
so how many mollies can I have?
What other fish can i have with them?

they usually say 1 inch of fish per gallon of water, u could go by that. With mollies u could keep platies and swordtails, maybe guppies, but keep in mind that they r livebearers and u could end up with quite a few fry but i think the parents may eat them..im not sure.

I told my mom that mollies are livebearers so my mom said "you should save them and sell them to the pet store"
so i said "well i would need a other tank"

oh well
I could provide cover for the fry...

Just keep in mind that it can never hurt to understock a bit, you know, having a total of 35-40 fish for your 45 gallons. Planning tanks is SO fun, good luck!

Lol the livebearers will spawn more minions and you will have an army of little guys to hunt down your enemies

Just thought i would mention because of the height of a hex tank you are actually limiting your self i would say 20-25 small fish such as guppies or tetras

well since I got that free glofish...I am having to buy him so friends
so I was thinking of
6 cory catfish
3 glofish

Is that a good combo?

Agreed remember this is also a hex tank you can not get as many fish in there as if you had a regular 45 long. I would go with what you have but get 5 mollies and increase the amount of glo fish remember they are danios and like to be in large schools when possible.

This cuts down on the total number of fish you can have. It also cuts down on their swimming space, as more active fish prefer the long tanks for that. JMO

Just to let you know--my glofish attacked my albino cories and basically ate their fins off!! But they never touched my black sail spotted cory who was in with them for a long time. So I guess the glofish just don't like the albino coloring. Please don't put albinos with danios--not worth the risk.

I think I will scracth out the glofish..and get 6 rosy reds(save them from the feeder tank)

I think it would be better for just THREE mollies. One Male Two Female.
I think rosy reds have different requirements than tropicals, since rosy reds are coldwater.
