I have several small Corydoras that live with my single common goldfish. Everyone is still growing, but will they be able to live togther in the years to come ???

I don't think it's a good idea because once your goldfish gets big enough to attempt to eat a cory it could mean death for both the cory and goldfish. Corydoras have a neat little self defense mechanism where if they are being eaten by a fish they will lock their fins in place which have a very spiny part(you may have been poked by them if you've ever handled them) and this imbeds the cory inside of the fish's mouth. It makes a lot of sense since they are schooling fish and this way the predator won't be able to gobble up any more of their buddies, but it has caused a lot of problem in tanks when somebody decides to try one for a snack! There are other reasons that goldies and cories don't really mix, but I think this is the biggest reason that I would never attempt it.

Thanks but the smallest fish in the tank an albino corydora who is probably only 3/4 of an inch is best friends with creamsicle my 3.5 inch common goldfish so will they be fine atleas until creamsicle is around 6 inches??

It's really hard to say how long they will be fine. It's all up to when Creamsicle decides to attempt to eat the cory. Since goldfish can grow like weeds and their mouths are bigger than what they seem I would definitely consider rehoming the corys asap just to avoid the possibility of anybody getting hurt.

I think that's a good idea. Better safe than sorry thumbsup.gif
