My betta's sbd isnt getting any better, i've fasted him and tried to feed peas, what else can i try? Or should i fast him again?

Does the Betta have SBD due to constipation? They can also get it from an injury like being dropped and even sometimes from a bacterial infection. If it is due to constipation then do not feed him his regular food. Keep feeding him the pea's and wait for him to defecate. Remember to always soak any food you give him in a bit of water from his tank to prevent it from expanding in his stomach. Good luck!

I hate to tell you this but most bettas that have swim bladder it is usually a permanent condition you and the fish need to learn to live with unless he is not eating and you are going to have mercy on him or her an euthanize him . It is kind of a decision you have to reach on your own. Sorry

thanks for the help....he's not floating anymore...now he sinks sad.gif poor lil guy, he'll swim up every once in awhile to get air then he'll drop right back down as soon as he stops swimming. I'll try feeding peas today, cause he seemed to have trouble getting the floating food this morning

poor lil guy, he's kinda doing a headstand on the bottom, his gills r moving really fast and he's not eating. Im going to try and put him in a 1/2 gallon tank with greenwater from my 29 gallon tank see if that helps at all.....if not then i guess i might have to consider euthanizing him cuz he doesnt look too happy cry3.gif
