I have the strangest betta fish.
His name is Hercules and for the past THREE weeks he has been sick.
He hasn't eaten in these three weeks and has been floating around at the top of the tank.
He has slight popeye which I tried fixing with Maracyn Two. I also suspected Scepticemia. But he's dark so I can't tell if he has any red spots.
His body is turning lighter.
As well instead of just 'floating' at the top lately he's been turning into a upside down u.
It's frustrating because he won't die OR get better.
Can anybody help me with this?

HI there,
It sounds like a possible swim bladder problem, but we definatly need more info. What size of tank is he in? Does it have a filter or heater? Also, can you test his water to see what all the levels are? (pH, ammonia, etc)

That's what I thought. But my other fish who have had SBD still ate.
He lives in a 5 gallon tank no heater. The levels should be fine because I just cleaned the tank yesterday and I haven't fed him, cause he doesn't eat.

Is he pooping at all if so what color is it. As a lot about your fishs health can be indicated by his poop.

Tho as already stated in order to help you best we need as much info about your set up as possible especially water parameters as 9 times out of 10 illness is caused by poor water quality. Post back as much info as you can smile.gif
