I'm still desperately searching for a ranchu goldfish. I came across this site that is offering to sell 40 day old baby ranchus. Can you even tell what color they are this young? And, is it too young to be sold and shipped?

40 day old ranchu will most likely have only one colour : bronze. At 40 days old you will have some that's showing *some* colour but no way u can tell what it will be.

I don't think it's too young to be shipped as long as it's done properly.

The website is Goldfishpassion. I'm going to look at some ranchus at a LFS today so I'm keeping my options open.

If u want to buy from the website, u have to ask if they're TVR babies or SVR babies. If they're SVR babies, then ask for some side-view photos. If they're TVR babies, then don't bother ordering as they look quite low quality.
