im curently using sera food which is a powder does anyone use this?- its from germany and comes in a small yellow tub ive seen some liquid food but they said to use them only if you have your filter on which brands do you recommend? thanks

I tried the liquid stuff, but it didn't seem to be that great at all. The fry wasn't growing too much on that stuff. I switched to a culture of microworms, and I hatch brine shrimp eggs, and when they get bigger, you can chop up some frozen bloodworms, or crumble up some of the food you give to the adults.

I didn't find that the liquifry worked too well either, not much growth. I have been feeding baby brine shrimp, and have seen a lot of quick growth. See my post in the breeding fish forum on the easiest way to grow brine shrimp...no heat, no air pump, but it works just fine!

i used daphnia paste but i heard baby brine shrimp works wonders. im going to try it next time.
