okok, i know this isn't about goldfish, but i have no one to talk to and it shook me up quite a bit..

AANNYWAY...

I have guppies, i love em they're so perdy, i had them in a little tank for a while because i had to get my 60L tank repaired. I got the tank back, cycled it and started to acclimatise the fish. (I put a few small (quite small) holes in an ice cream bucket and let it sit in the tank water) So all was well.. and this process takes a couple of hours to do, the water slowly mixes n water and i help it along by adding a couple of handfuls of water here and there.. anyways, so alls well and i decide to go for a walk.

I come home and i introduce the guppies into the main tank, alls well there too. And then i look at them all, looking for anything fishy... and i'm like.. "hrmm i swear i had 2 adult female guppies" and i could only see 1. So i'm like hrmm thats odd.. and i begin searching around the tank, couldn't see her..

I could feel something under my foot.. thinking it was a piece of rubbish i took no notice of it (theres lots of rubbish in my house lol) then i turned my foot over *SHOCK* *HORROR* there is my female guppy plastered to my foot!

HOWEVER there is some good .. hopefully.. i have really high arcs in my feet so the guppy wasn't.. err squished, just attached by its slime. So i peeled it off and put it in the ice cream container, she started to breathe ever so slightly and is now flappin her tail and wavin a flipper hehe..

I still dont know if she'll make it.. i put a little salt in her bucket, so fingers crossed she'll make it!!!

There hardy little guys, hopefully she'll pull through.

WOW!!! She must be one strong chickie!!!! I love guppies!!! I am a betta girl right now but I gave my niece two guppies for Christmas.....with her Mom's permission ofcource ......... and I just fell in luuuuv with them!!! They are next on my wish list!! I hope all goes well!!

well shes flappin about now, seems to be doin a bit better, but her dorsal/swimmin fins are still a bit clammped. I can still subconsciously feel her on the bottom of my foot.. erk..

Oh honey, what a scary thing to happen - no wonder it shook you up! Thank goodness your fishy's OK. You must have VERY high arches and a tough fish!

Bummer. I had one of my Oscars come out of the tank and by the time I found it it was almost dry. I had no idea how long it had been out my daughter heard it behind the tank and screamed. When I picked it up it was covered in carpet hair and I instinctively through it back in the tank. It laid on the bottom propped up against some drift wood foar a couple of days breathing pretty hard. Then the third morning it was up and around. I had that fish for 12 years up until the day I had to get rid of it for a move.
It had come out of the tank a couple of times before. It would get so excited during feeding time that it would jump right out. I covered all the holes but I guess this last time it actually pushed the hood up.
I really think fish have personalities. At least mine do.

well she died overnight.. Now my macho male only has 1 female to traumatise Soon my babies will grow big!
