Well after searching for a cheap 20 gal today I forced myself to accept that I won't be getting any more goldies anytime soon. So.......

I went to wallyworld just "happened" to check out the bettas when I saw beautiful crowntails. As always, the poor things were in containers with an inch of water. I hate to even buy them and support this type of practice but my heart went out to this one beautiful little guy. He's here sitting on my desk now, I'm going to put him in my 10 gal with my apple snail shortly, pics to come

I don't have a name yet, but I'm thinking about it. I'm happy to say he seems very healthy, much better than other bettas I've brought home over the years. He just ate 2 bloodworms and I think I just saw him blowing bubbles!!!

What a doll--good choice. I've never gotten a crowntail because they cost more than veiltails but they are super gorgeous.

I work in a mall and there is one of those Hermit Crab kiosks in there. They keep some bettas in filthy awful water. I hate to look at them because I want to rescue all of them. They often have unusual colored bettas, one I saw was yellow!! Bright Banana yellow! I wish I had bought him, He's gone now.

Sadly bettaqueen the poor guy didn't make it, his days at wallyworld took a toll.

I'm thinking about buying another one somewhere...but I really don't have much space anyway
