I really don't know, I mean they are smaller than the largely available types of more common plecos, but wouldn't they be able to make a tasty snack out of goldies too?
nichjake
They're generally not as aggressive as the common plecos. The male BN that I keep with my goldies has a bit of a temper on him but I've never seen him chase the goldies, he'll just tell them to get away from him. My female BNs are really laid back except for when I try to handle them.

Just thought i would mention that the name common pleco is very inaccurate as there is no one species of pleco called "common"

Yep Nichjake is right they are not as territorial and don't get as large. Many people on this site have said that bristlenose are safer than rubbernose plecos. It is just luck of the draw i suppose you may get a bn pleco that is absolutely territorial and attack the the goldies. Also as the pleco ages it becomes carnivorous so when they do there daily routine at night of cleaning the tank they can not distinguish the difference between food and poor goldie floating there catching some zzzzzzzz's.

Rubber noses are generally safe right? I have two, and on the compatibility page it says they are safe with goldies.

Question about Rubbernoses...

I heard (or read) that Plecos need driftwood to chew on...aids their digestion...

Anyone heard...is this true?
