d_golem
Wen too prominent to be called a ryukin. Both parents are orandas, rite?

Oh, yeah! Do I ever! You are getting close there, HnLim! thumbs.gif Man Yu, you do know how the breeders get rid of any pesky red scales in a desired fish like that, right?

well... we do have a tendency to look the other way if there's a beautiful fish involved... Naughty.gif Whistle.gif

'sides, jikin breeders practice this so-called "abuse" for years but nobody accuses them outright, as the scale-chipping process targets only a few scales at a time and allows the fish to rest for weeks or months before the next session. It's no more cruel than a fish losing one or two scales at a time when they collide with a piece of decor in their tank or while being netted for transfer

You have the grudging and envious blessings of people unfortunate enough to look into this thread. LOL

It is not just nature's luck that Jikin come they way they are - human intervention is involved here. Does that mean I appreciate a jikin any less? Heck, no!
HNLim
So! Yes or No to human intervention?
frloplady
I saw nothing....
