First. I need help with picking out a heater. I had a heater bust and kill some breeding bettas before, so I don't want anything like that to happen again. I would like it to be adjustable. If you know of a good brand, let me know.
Second. Which wood for
center piece? I think I like 4 the most. Opinions welcomed.
Wood1Wood2Wood3Wood4Third. Full Tank shots requested by Goldyfan. Its not much to look at right now.

I like the last piece of diftwood..it is different
Your plec really does need a big piece(in the last pic he really wants a place to hide).

I like all the wood pieces... but I agree, 4 is unique. Cool, you got a pic of your pleco wearing the driftwood hat

Can't wait to see how your new drift wood looks in the tank!

I like all the pieces but have to agree with 4. On the heater issue, I reccomend the vissitherm Stealth heaters. That is all I run with great results.

I'm going to be different, I really like the 3rd piece. I never thought about looking for drift wood on ebay, but then I don't have tropicals.

Fishcrazy- I know, its so sad. However, I sometimes do wonder if he actually plays with it, as he likes to push it around and flip it over, then get excited and swim through his bubbles.
Kuli_Loach - I quickly looked at it, sounds like what I am looking for! I will have to read some more and look into the best prices. Thanks.
jadedragen- Yeah. I enjoyed it too when it was for goldies but I think its time for a change. The L021 really needs some hiding spots.
dan in aus- Too bad bala sharks would never fit into my tank.
I think I might go with 4. Its smooth for sucking on and it will still provide cover. The price+shipping is still issue but I think I might order it after checking out my LFS.

Big Al's has the best prices that I have found. I would check them out and see if your LFS don't carry the stealth heaters.

Sweet setup Sushi! When it comes to bigger fish, less is definitely a good way to go. And I agree, the #4 piece is really cool. I also like #3 though.

The Marineland Stealth heater that Kuli mentioned is my fave....I have those in all but one of my tanks. Very reliable, easy to set and read. Can't wait to see pics of that driftwood in your tank! ::chants:: wewantSushipicswewantSushipics!

Shamu23- Thanks. I'll look into that brand as well.
Goldyfan- Yeah, I originally thought about getting a leopard ctenopoma but I think I won't. I like the low maintenance of my tank. It was a pain to do 3 water changes a week when I had goldfish in the tank. I have more time to actually enjoy the fish, rather that freaking out over water.
Sounds like the majority likes #4. I'm still stabbing myself in the foot about the total price when shipping is included. I will have to hunt down some local taxidermy shops, which shouldn't be to hard or maybe I will get my friends aunt to use her retail license to get me a deal on some wood. I have thinking to do and favors to call in.

I like 3 and 4, and I will add my vote for stealth heaters.
