My fish have a lot of floating problem I just am fedup :angry: with it I feed them Hikari Gold Floating and Sinking type but if I feed them just two three days they start to hang out on top I am feeding them Peas regularly it is sometimes everyday I feed peas after few days when I am back to normal Hikari Gold Fish food they start to float again, I have heard a lot about Gel Food and someone told me I have to get Gelateen to make it, this is not available in the market can any one tell me if I can use powdered gelly (flavored for kids) it is available in the market and add whatever you guys tell in it? Will it help?

I wouldn't recommend using flavored/sweetened gelatin, though I don't know for certain it would have negative effects.

Sometimes I have found the unflavored geletin powder at markets that sell produce destined to be made into jelly. In Hong Kong that was the only place I could find it. Perhaps if you looked into that type of market.

It is used to make jellies and jams and fruit tarts. Try the baking section of your market, or ask at a bakery that makes the jelled fruit tarts (do you have those?).

Otherwise, I do not mind overseas shipping costs. Let me know and I will send you some.

Thank you...so you guys dont agree to Flavored jelly.....ok i searched on Internet as i told you guys in m in Identing business i found two sites selling this gelatin now i enquired 1 full container and i will ask them afterwards to send me sample and i will try to make some food...but just to check why is flavored jelly not recomended my goldies love orande and i can easily get orange flavor jelly it is lot more easier......
i also wanted to ask what is gelitin made of as my wife was telling me it have pork fat or something i wouldnot dare to touch it if it has pork in it as i m Muslim and it is sin to even touch Pork.

found Gelatin...its like cream or lite yellow crystals..fill me in guys what is the next step how should i add crystals to the choped spinach+carrots+wheat+shrimps+peas

Not very informative.

The flavored ones have a great deal of sugar in them. They are almost like candy. This sugar would not be good for your fishies.

I do not know exactly how to make the food, for I have not done it yet. But, generally you mix the gelatin powder into hot water and then stir it into the smashed and ground up other stuff you wish to suspend. When you chill it, it solidifies.

Mine says 1/4 oz. will gel 2 cups of liquid.

Someone else will need to be more specific. I would appreciate knowing more, also!

I made it...now please guide me how to add something as to enhance color of my Fish...i have an idea to ground pellets and add in that paste will help?

Fefe, try red bell pepper, smasched in the food blender, or frozen bloodworms you can add as well for color. The crushed pellets are also a good idea you had. I think spirulina flakes are also color enhancing, but don't quote me on that, I am not 100% sure on it...

Last night i fed them with the jell food no1 is floating right now but the problem is that they simply love it and dont wana share with any1 small fish are not geting their share.. i will cut the cubes more small.

Help again ......i am using gel food now...every fish is doing fine except for two of them one always hang on the top and the most cute Ryukin of mine is hanging at the top of the tank in the morning now what to do? she is normal in evening this is the fish i love most...plz help me with this any1.
