OK had my lion head for about a week now and everything's AOK he chased my black moore about when i first had him (that had me worried) but he's calmed right down after a few days and stopped chasing.
the black moore i've had for 2 weeks and seems a healthy little blighter
they seem fine, no swimming problem staying ect their about 2in in size a 30gal tank with 2 plants a few air stones and some ornaments
so is there anything i need to keep an eye out for,
for example the tank is 18in deep, i've herd fan tails can come down with swim bladder problems, in a deep tank, is this to deep for fish this small?

1 last thing the lion head loves to go inside the castle, he goes in the top but comes out the windows, and he only just fits. i'm scared one day he will get stuck! i mean he only needs about one more mil of growth and he won't fit.
should i block the windows off and if so how?

For the telescope be sure he is getting enough food and the lion head is not hogging it. Telescopes have poor eye sight and it takes a while for them to find food. And be aware, no sharp objects in the tank as the telescope can hurt their eyes. I would recommend taking the castle out. They might get stuck in it. I had a pleco get stuck in a log and I could not get him out for the life of me and he died in there. It was really heart breaking.

note taken on the castle Chicklette but i have a plan to fish proof it, for the black moore i've found so far he's getting just as much food as the lion head, his eye sight seems fine, some times he even spots the food before the lion head lol, maybe hes a telescope with good eye sight (is that possible?)

Get aquarium glue and fill the windows in the castle up with it. I had done somehting like that with an ornament before.

Great looking tank, lots of room for those little guys smile.gif

Yes, definatly do something about the castle. My sister had a small moore get stuck in an ornament and die once, very sad times.

Unfortunately I have no aquarium glue but never fear for Mr improvisation is here!! I've got some clear plastic sheeting, the same sort you would use for armbands, I rolled it up so it was like a spiral, placed it within the castle && allowed the spiral to expand inside, thus blocking all the windows. But because the top of the castle isn't blocked off the spiral inside also doesn't let the fish get in that way, but still allows the bubbles to escape, meaning the water can still flow freely in && out of the castle.
