Does anyone have experience or knowledge regarding having a betta & a cory together in a tank? Wondered if the cory would be beneficial to eat up the stuff the betta lets drop to the floor. I read the community betta tank thread butit didn't mention corys. Plecos are cool but I have had a couple in the past & would prefer a smaller fish.
And as always...
Thanks in advance! rolleyes.gif

I just got a betta and when I was reading up on them, I'm pretty sure there was some mention that corys would be fine with a betta. Perhaps other betta keepers will back me up?

Cory catfish will be fine as long as you provided them with shelter.

I've had a female betta in a 20 gal. with cories for a couple months now and they totally ignore each other. I also had a male betta in a 16 gal. with cories for a while and he ignored them as well. So, hopefully yours will, too.

Thanks everyone this confirms what I was hoping.
Isn't it cool how fish get along when they ignore each other? We all should be so fortunate.
