People feed brine shrimp, espicially the baby brine shrimp to fry and adolescent fish. Both foods are a great source of protein. I think the biggest difference is your fish's preference, and the bloodworms may have more of a color enhancing effect than the shrimp do. Also smaller fish may find it easier to get the worms into their mouths than full grown brine shrimp.

okie dookie, thanks fish_king, and Liz! biggrin.gif

my fish love both of them really, but it seems that brine shrimp have more fat, 1.5 % compared to 0.5 %. Is too much fat bad for the goldies? unsure.gif

Newly hatched brine shrimp is the best food to feed fry. There's nothing better.

As brine shrimp age and become adults they lose a lot of the nutritional value that they had had when they were newly hatched.

As far as which is better adult brine shrimp or bloodworms. Not a big enough differents to matter. Their both good and both are better than the processed fish flakes and pellets.
