hi ppl... i m a new member hare..i m from bangladesh...well i m facicng a problem wit ma 2 oranta...well i bought daem yesterday...but today i saw dat some fisheses r tracing ######...dan i knew dat dis 2fishis gonna give egg..so so put them out from ma tank and put dem in saparedly in 2 big bucket...wher day started to lay eggs...but as is cold in ma country so it may die if i put dem 4 long time in da bucket...so i just gentaly tried to take dem in ta da tank....while dat time day laid eggs on ma hand..it may propably coz of ma press may b..but later i keep dem in ma hand and slowly and gentaly rubbed dair belly....dan day laid all da egg in da bucket....now ma q is will dis eggs gonna hatch...i put ma orantas bak in ta tank n day r ok....i also put to saparate pipes of ma air pum and put dem in da bucket from da begining....n i also lowerd da preasure of dat to line...will dats enough...will da eggs hatch...plz help:(

In order for the eggs to hatch, you needed to make sure that there was a male as well as the female in the bucket or tank. Eggs will not be fertile and hatch without an active male with the female.

Let's assume that your eggs are fertile. That is GREAT! If it is cold enough that you are worried about the fish being too cold in the bucket, then you also need to be concerned about the temp being too cold for the eggs. Goldfish eggs hatch best at approximately 21C.. and will hatch in approximately 4 day from the time they are laid.

Once laid, though you are going to have to find a way to keep the water in good shape and find a source of food for the fry. One of the easiest foods is a cooked egg yolk that you shake up in a cup of water until it is just a yellow water.... the fine particles of egg yolk will feed the fry.

thanx..its very much helful to me....but i think ma egg r not fertile coz i didnt put male in da tank... how ever dis is ma 1st time next time hopefully no mistake...

You would not believe the number of spawnings I past by because I did not understand what was and what was NOT fertile.

I think that, if in the future, you simply have a male in the tank - whether or not you see him "active" you can assume you have fertile eggs. Those male fish can be sneaky that way!

really you alsoo missed the chances lol than it must be the mistake of all nebie.ok if i have any fry dan surely i will post the picture and details.
 today i bought antoher small tank.i call it honnymonn cottege there a male and a female in there i cant find any breeding nets so i just tear up some nilone rope and a net bag and some stone.from hare i can see than they r doing well in the cottege as 1st guist when they will lay and fartile eggs how could i know.by reading some posts hare i get to that the water will be cloudy.well i just put them togather dis after noon now when the right time will come can u give me a guess.

um, hi i have got 2 fantail gold fish one is a calico and the other is just a red and white one.
im sort of just starting with fish and ive had some before but theyve all died like just sank to the bottom and didnt get up, one actually got mawled by the others!!!
but im pretty sure my calico is like pregnant or something as it's (i dont know the sex) got a huge protruding stomach but the other one is fine with it, its a perfectly normal fish
how do i know if its pregnant or if the other one is a boy or just anything plz im really stuck and i dont no wot 2 do can u plz help me any1?

sorry i m not a pro either but i can give u some thing..if u think ur calico is pregnant dan keep with it with a male goldfish.if the other one is chasing it like nuts:P sometime dan u can b sure dat its a male.when female will lay egg da water will b cloudy n smelly n u will also see egg alover.u hav to remove the both of the fishes from the tank to another tank n than hav to wait till 3-4days to let the eggs hatch.u can see daryl had told me all bout it .....

P.S.if u start a new topic in this forum with ur problem dan u will get many help from all pros.i think u r a newbie like me lolz i did same type.dont worry u start a new topic than u will get very gud help.all ppl here r very friendly,u will get great help.tacz
