My brother's friend stepped on the cleaning claw part of my python (lee's ultimate gravel vac) that protects the fish and he completely crushed it. No site ships replacement parts to Canada so I superglued it, is it safe to use in the tanks again? I really dont wanna use the python without it cause I dont wanna take the fish out of the tank, and Im wouldnt leave them in cause i've heard wwwwaaaaayyyyyyy too many stories about fish being killed my the siphon.

You can use anything you want at your own risk I guess. I wouldn't risk it, but that's just me.

I used superglue to glue tubing to the sides of a piece of a 2 liter bottle to reduce the current in my fry tank. There have been no ill effects from it.
I read on a thread here that it is safe once its cured. They use superglue now in hospitals to close wounds that would need stitches, so it dosen't harm biological matter it comes into contact with.

Incredible though it seems superglue is safe in tanks yes.

Superglue is perfectly safe WHEN DRY!!! I use it all the time to glue impellers and such together from my accidents. Epoxy is safe also and is about the same price as super glue.

well considering superglue only takes a couple of minutes to dry i think 24hours is long enough

WOW!!! I would have never thought you could use Super Glue on objects that come in contact with the tank!!! I learn something new here every day!!!

I still won't use it.

The glass chipped on one of the corners of my tank and I super glued the missing chip back on. 2 years later it is still on perfectly. This is on the outside of the tank however.
I will agree with Lola and will probably not use it on anything that is inside the tank. Here is why. Despite the fact that once dried, super glued is no more harmful than plastic, there is always the chance of a tiny particle or a sliver breaking off and going into the tank water. I don't think it is worth the risk IMO.
