Well, we went to Pet*Smart today and it was a wasted trip! My printer is on the blink, so I couldn't print any on-line prices from their website. I thought, "Oh well, at least I can get some small GF bowls for my coral to sit in and some more silk plants...maybe an air pump and bubble wand..." Their prices in the store were OUTRAGEOUS!!! I saw an airpump online from Pet Solutions for about 15.00. Pet*Smart wanted 29.99 for the same exact one! A silk plant there was 6.00. I got my others from Big Als for about 2.00. A bubble wand on-line was about 3.00, Pet*Smart wanted 8.00. For a SMALL gf bowl (and I mean SMALL) they wanted 3.00 each. Needless to say, being on a budget, I didn't get a thing. The store price for an Eclipse 3g tank kit was 60.00 and they have it on-line for 30.00. It was ridiculous. I also browsed some bettas and everyone I looked at was sick, or dead in the cup. I am never buying anything else from their store again. Oh, and they didn't have ANY KH drop test kits at all... Guess I will be shopping on-line tonite!

LOL! My on-line shopping is going GREAT!!! I found some fine mesh planting baskets to use for my coral, they were .69/ea!!! They are black, and I was hoping for a clear color, but they will do for a while. I am going to put my silk plants in them and fill them with the coral!!!

Stuff may be cheaper online but you still have to pay shipping in most cases. Some times you come out ahead and some times you shoot yourself if the foot LOL. I try not to shop at the Pets marts that treat their fish bad. I'll drive clear on to the next state to buy from stores that do it right if I have to. Isn't that sad ha ha!

shoping online is a pain in the butt, i use to know this one website that sells live coral reef or anomebia or w/e they are and fishes, there was this one fish they sell for 3 bucks, i can get my mom to buy it no problem, but then I look add the shipping add up for $50 a tiny fish! are you kidding?! Gosh it's really..crazy.

well i do buy fish at nnnn and that one....family or w/e they call store (but dont go there very often because i have this thing that if i smell things in there i seem to feel like throwing up) They do sell things abit ..pricey. I remember it selss a 1 gallon little nano tank or w/e it's cute and i want to use it for the hairgrass w/e plant i'm growing and then it's like $10 bucks what a rip off. Even though the live plants are not very pricey.

I know what you mean, some of their stuff can be pretty expensive, although they are cheaper than one of their competitors. I'm just glad they do the price match, I just recently started taking advantage of it. I like shopping online too, coz a lot of sites are cheaper, but they do kinda get you in the S&H. I usually wait til they have free shipping offers.

The P$mart nearest our home was recented remodeled & updated. Although I agree their prices are higher than what you could purchase online, I am impressed with the quality of their fish & how clean they keep their tanks. Friday I was in (2x) the gal was cleaning tanks & had fresh oranges clipped to the tanks for all the goldies & cukes in some of the cichild tanks. I was checking the price of an aquarium ornament I had seen earlier on line which (surprise) they had on sale. Went home printed off the $5 off coupon & viola! Got the ornament for $10 less than had I got it online.
But in all honesty most stores are only as good as the people who manage them....
