How easily do neon tetras and/or albino cories start to eat each other??? I used to have 5 tetras and now I have 4 (not sure exactly when this happened as the are sometimes hard to find to count) and I have never found the body!? I have checked everywhere in the tank and there is no way for it to get into the filter so it is a mystery. They are fed twice a day usually, but a bare minimum of once. I amso confused. I know goldfish will eat each other after 3 days of not being fed, but I have no idea about tetras and cory's. Anyone have any ideas? why.gif

oh wow, that is weird, try looking if it's stuck anywhere, also see if it's possible that it might jump out of the tank somehow

Neons and cory cats shouldn't eat each other. However, if the neon died of a natural cause (not bacteria or fungus, etc...) the corys might eat the body. They are after all a cleaning/ scavinging type of fish.

I had a missing fish in one of my tanks awhile back, too. I cleaned the tank with the siphon as soon as I noticed but found nothing. The next week when I cleaned again I sucked up his little skeleton! I thought I siphoned everything thoroughly the first time but it is possible to miss I guess. Anyway, I have cories in there so maybe they ate the body--can't really say. ohmy.gif
