I got all three of these babies on the same day. I had a 6 gal Eclipse just sitting around, and after reading that each female betta needed about 2 gallons each, I figured that was just enough for 3 girls. SO without further ado... here are my betta girls who still don't have names yet. Please excuse some of the water marks on the tank haha. Apparently I didn't get all of it as I thought I had when they had their last water change.


She is the biggest, and probably the "alplha female" even though they all pretty much get along I think she has a little bit of an edge when eating because she's just a tad bigger than the other two.


I wanted different colors, so here's my red girl.


And she is my secret favorite of the three.. *shhh* haha I absolutely LOVE her coloring.


So now for the not so pretty pictures haha. Here's the common pleco who is in a 29 gal all to himself because I am afraid he will eat anything else I put in there. His name is Sharkbait Oh Haha. He is about a foot long? I really want to move him to a 55 gal and set up a community tank *sigh* but I am not allowed to set up anymore tanks.









You can't really tell from the photos, but his right barbel splits into 2 at the end where as his right is just a normal one. Haha he's an odd little "sucker". Those white looking pellets are shrimp pellets, and of course his poo trail can't be missed. He is a poo machine... more so than my goldies. whoever told me at the fish store a zillion years ago didn't tell me this guy would poo as much as he ate. They said he would keep the tank clean. yeah... they also didn't say he would live forever and make my other tropicals mysteriously disappear.

Haha well anyway, figured I would post some pictures since I have a zillion but never post any.

awe i love female bettas. and male ones. and basically every other kind of fish...but that's not the point lol.

thanks for the compliments y'all. i've got a purty boy in a 2.5 eclipse on his own. i had thought about breeding the bettas, but until i figure out where the babies will go i figure i'm better off keeping poor betta boy by himself fer now. poor boy... no lovin' for him.



his tank is completely bare because the neons and harlequin rasboras that use to be in there didn't make it across to arizona from texas and the gouramis that use to grace that tank died from disease. he's killed off the live plants i TRIED to grow in the eco-complete substrate, and i am afraid of getting him anything else. however, if i do get a girly pleco, i will be sure to name her darla. HAHAHA. just for you Riz.

i do have a piece of mopani wood i had wanted to put into the community tank (one of my 55 gals) but that is not allowed to be set up at the time. i think i might start soaking it this weekend to get rid of any excess tannins and put it into the 29 gal for now. =) do you think it will be ok if i put anything else in with sharkbait? i don't think there's room for another pleco. plus if i got him a girlfriend... i wouldn't be getting one his size and how do you know if they're girls or boys anyway? hahaha i only assumed he was a boy... for all i know he might be a she??

I love betta girls and yours are awesome!! Love them as much as the boys if not more. I only have one right now but she is such a character--so much attitude!!

And your plec is cool, too. It's neat to see one that big.

Also, where in the world did you find shrimp pellets? I have no luck in hunting down the right ones. Every time I say shrimp pellets they think I mean algae waffers.
