My fantail goldfish has swim bladder disease and she and her tank mate, a comet, have been separated because of the comet's tendency to pick at the fantail's fins and head. A few days ago, I was cleaning the divider in the tank when I found some fish eggs... from an upside-down fish. I have no idea how to take care of fry as I have never tried breeding fish before. Can anyone help me?

Unless your other fish is a male and capable of fertilizing these eggs, there is not much possibility that they are fertile and will hatch.

If you wish, it is possible for you to take the eggs from the tank and keep them separate from the adults - who will eat them. Keep the eggs at 70F for 4 days. If you see TINY little fishes - they will look no bigger than a thread with a tiny dot on the end - not easy to see! - you will have fry. smile.gif
