are they? I hear bristle was, and they grow to 5 in, so do rubber lips.

Should be fine never had one so have to wait see what others have to say. I have the BN's with my goldfish.

I put 2 bulldog/rubber lip plecos in with my goldfish. The seem to do fine but I think they need warmer temps to be happier because mine all died. I tried a 2nd time, lasted longer but still died. They also aren't nearly assertive enough to get food from a goldfish so they starve.

Its possible that I have bad luck with them.

Ahhh well I let the green stuff go on the tank only clean off the front and I feed waffers after the lights are out enough so that the goldfish dont get them all.
