Hey all. I am heading out today to pick up some test kits. After reading "Fancy Goldfish" by Ken from Goldfishconnection I realized that I really need to be testing my water to keep my fish at their best. I am going to be picking up test kits for Ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph and I also want a salinity tester. Any thoughts on good brands of testers especially when it comes to accurarcy and ease of use?

I prefer liquid test kit from API.. It's not the easiest one to use but get an accurate result if you follow the instruction.

API freshwater master test kit is definately the best. Test strips are no were near as accurate

I agree with all of the above posters. API! I used to use strips and they are much harder to read/ I really don't trust them any longer. :]

+1 for the API freshwater master test kit but the tetra master kit is also a good the only thing is there master kit does not have a nitrate test you need to but that seperatly

That should be required reading for all fancy owners. Good for you!
