I am planning on getting a betta in the near future and I was wondering if any of you know of any good places to order bettas from? Every time I look at Wal**Mart or Pet**Smart, their bettas look in terrible shape and I hate to bring one home to have it die on me. Thanks...

I dont buy fish from wally world anymore but maybe u could rescue a little betta from pet****smart? With the right care u can bring them back to full health!

Sure! Let me just go pick some money off that "money tree" I have in my backyard so I can spend it all on bringing a sick betta back to health!!! LOL! Believe me, Hon, I know there are no guarantees when you buy a betta, either on-line or at Pet**Smart, but I would rather get one that has at least a chance at living, you know? The ones at the Pet**Smart near me look AWFUL. I mean, most of them are just lying in the bottom of their cups, some are even dead, just lying there, and other are either covered in bacteria and fungus. They are so sad. If I had the money, I would rescue as many fish as I could.

What about a mom and pops LFS? Aren't their bettas better than Wally & Petty's
