Hey all I have my liner finally its 20x20.. I'm going to make this my diary of the pond in the making..

..My hubby is breaking ground tomorrow..I will post pics as this comes along..Enjoy!
the area of the pond..
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh64/Jewels1935/pond1.jpgThis area is pretty big.. we are going to use those rocks you see for our waterfall and use pretty stone to hold the liner..My hubby does pavers for a living so he will make it nice!
Also, my hubby wanted to ask you guys if using Mortor/ rockless concrete is safe for building a homemade waterfall... Thanks!

Wow, the pond liner went in there FAST!

That is a really nice sized pond there, Jewels. One of the few things I miss about Florida is the fact that you can do that kind of stuff in the "winter". Plus the landscaping will look so tropical, and all the palms and things will not be effected by any cooler weather. I MISS MY PALM TREES!

Must be exciting, every step of having the pond installed! I'd like a pond but I'd worry about raccoons and whatever else (like the neighborhood cats) going fishing at night and having themselves a snack. What kind of fish are you putting in there?

My Orandas are going in during the warm months..I have 1 koi..1 shubby..and some comets..I'm having the pond netted with hot-wire around it for the coons..Cats I don't worry about I have inside/outside cats and they run off the neighborhood cats..lol..They never messed with the old pond actually they sat by the water with the fish for 3yrs..

http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh64/Jewels1935/pond9.jpgHere's the pond this morning..remember I will have another bio-media filter in there..and the bubbling of the water you see in the deep end is the filter for the waterfall.. We still have sooo much to do but it will be fully completed by Spring...
http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh64/Jewels1935/pond8.jpgEnjoy! The big round tub contains my 3yr old cattails..I just cut then back and they are confused..lol.. our warm winter is making them come back.. the smaller plant is an Iris...I will have a lot more plants come spring.. that's where the ledge comes in that my hubby made..
