Is there anything you can feed them besides flakes?

What kind of fish?
There's pellets, frozen foods, freeze dryed foods, live foods or you can make your own fish food.

I feed my tropicals (tetras) spriulina flakes, brine shrimp, blood worms, shrimp pellets and the newest thing that I'm a big fan of, Hikari micropellets. They are TINY, almost like grains of sand, but really good for my little tetras.

You're on the right track Kets. Just like us, your fish would like some variety in their diet. There's tons of stuff at the petstores, flakes, pellets, freeze dried, etc. etc. Or you could get some leafy veggies or maybe peas or cucumbers and cut off a small piece and see if your fish will go for it. Remember to always remove any food they don't eat.

Thanks all. My parents have been feeding my fish the same flake food for a long time...
I have Angelfish and Platys.

I've read that flakes are good for fish 2 inches and smaller and pellets are better for fish 2 inches and larger. I like pellets better because they don't break up like flakes. I feel that pellets keep the water cleaner because they don't drop little uneaten pieces all over the aquarium like flakes do.
