just make sure the bananas are ripe. Awhile ago I got one and it wasnt quite ripe and I put it in and the fishies tasted it were like "what the heck is this?? Now ur feeding us unripe fruits??" LOL, they did start liking it after a couple of hours though, normally they go crazy over banana, orange is one of their favs though

oh cool! I didnt know you could also feed them bananas, I'm going to try that out right now, hehe biggrin.gif

also Nickie, i dont have a veggie clip either, but i made a DIY one. I bought those white bag clips for $1 at wally world or at any dollar store, tie a piece of string to the handle and there you have it! LOL. I couldn't get to pet-smart that often so I just make my own veggie clips biggrin.gif it works for all sorts of stuff
Nickie
I have some of those clips that you are talking about here, but I don't get the string part on the handle???

Hold on Nickie, I'll get a pic for ya
love-rabbit-fish
here it is, nothing fancy....or pretty, but it works! biggrin.gif

Nickie
That is SO neat!!! I am sorry you had to fool your fish to get a pic for me! LOL! In the last pic, your fish looked like, "Hey! There ain't no food on this thing! Mom is losing it"!
That is a neat idea and I am so glad you showed me! Thanks, Hon!

*** Nickie skips off as she sings, "I got a veggie clip, I got a veggie clip...."

rofl3.gif rofl3.gif you're very welcome, it works for ponds too, just tie the unattached end of the string to a rock and put it at the edge of the pond, and put the clip end into the water, i thought it might come in handy for your new future pond wink.gif

small short slivers are great for a treat - and the small pieces that I cut do sink very slowly - They are eaten up quite quickly.
Nickie
Well, the slices that I put in for them did sink. However, my fish are not too crazy abou them. They are eating them, but are also staring at me thru the glass right now as if they are saying, "Um, Mom, is this ALL your are going to feed us right now"???? rofl3.gif
